Check foam base and air insert for damage.

Have damaged or worn parts replaced by qualified personnel as soon as possible.

Servicing and repairs (except on the air insert, see Page 26) may only be carried out by quali
fied personnel or the manufacturer. Only Ottobock spare parts are used for repairs.
8.2 Repair
INFORMATION
Do not continue using the seat cushion if the air insert is leaking due to damage.

If it is not possible to repair the air insert yourself, contact the qualified personnel.

Removing the air insert
1) Remove the cover (see Page 24).
2) Gently ease the air insert and valve away from the foam. Do not pull on the air cells.
Sealing a puncture
1) Locate the puncture.
INFORMATION: If the puncture is not visible, inflate the air insert. Close the valve and
immerse the air insert in water. You can locate the puncture in the air insert by the
bubbles.
2) Follow the repair instructions provided with the repair kit.
3) Reinflate the air insert.
4) Immerse the air insert in water. Make sure the puncture has been sealed.
Inserting the air insert
1) Dry the air insert thoroughly.
2) Lay the air insert on a table. The tube faces forward (see fig. 20, item 1).
3) Position the foam base over the air insert. The wedge faces forward (see fig. 21, item 1).
4) Fasten the foam base to the air insert using the hook-and-loop closures so it is secured
against sliding.
5) Put on the cover (see Page 24).
6) Set up the seat cushion for the user (see Page 23).
9 Disposal information
Return the product to the qualified personnel for disposal.
All components of the product must be disposed of properly in accordance with the respective
national environmental regulations.

The manufacturer will only assume liability if the product is used in accordance with the descrip
tions and instructions provided in this document. The manufacturer will not assume liability for
damage caused by disregarding the information in this document, particularly due to improper
use or unauthorised modification of the product.

sonnel that has fitted this product or the manufacturer's service (see inside back cover for
addresses).
10.3 Service life
Expected lifetime: 2 years
