ATTENTION
Risk of damage. Ensure that no liquid en-
ters the intake port of the suction turbine
under the waste water tank. Wipe up spilled
liquid.
 Fill in fresh water (maximum 50 °C).
Observe the maximum filling level indi-
cator. Leave room for detergent.
 Add detergent. Follow dosing instruc-
tions for detergent.
Recommended detergents:

Detergents are available in specialised
stores.
 Close the cover of the fresh water res-
ervoir.
Settings
 Release the star knob for the height ad-
justment of the steering wheel.
 Adjust the steering wheel to the desired
height.
 Tighten the star handle.
Adjusting the brush contact pressure
 Push the appliance to the work station.
 Unfold the parking support.
 Turn the twist grip for brush contact
pressure to position "1".
 Fold the parking support in.
 Switch on the appliance on the carpet to
be cleaned.
If support is present while the brush
drive is being pushed forward, the ad-
justment is correct.
 If no support is noticeable when you
push, increase the setting and repeat
the procedure.
 If the indicator lamp for the brush drive
shows a malfunction after a few sec-
onds of operation, reduce the setting.
Cleaning
DANGER
Risk of electric shock!
Do not allow power cord to come into con-
tact with the rotating brushes.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the floor covering. Do
not operate the appliance on the spot.
 First connect the extension cable to the
mains and then connect it to the mains
socket.
Extension cable 2.5 mm
imum length of 15 m.
 Turn the programme selector switch to
the desired function.
 Switch on the detergent solution switch
if necessary.
 Pull the safety switch towards the steer-
ing wheel, the brush drive and the appli-
cation of the cleaning solution are
switched on (if preset).
 Push the appliance forward until the
parking stand folds up and the cleaning
head touches the ground.
 Move the appliance over the surface to
be cleaned.
 While working, keep an eye on the sight
glass for airflow. If water or foam is vis-
ible, switch off the appliance immedi-
ately. Empty the waste water tank or
add defoamers to the waste water tank.
Note:
If the brush rotation direction switch on the
steering wheel is actuated, the appliance
also moves backwards.
Use the right side for cleaning close to the
edge.
Additional tool (option)

3 Detergent solution coupling
 Turn the steering wheel to reverse
movement.
 Pull out the suction hose from the vacu-
um bar.
 Connect the suction hose of the appli-
ance to the suction hose of the addition-
al tool.
 Connect the hose for the detergent so-
lution of the additional tool to the cou-
pling on the cleaning head.
 Turn the programme selection switch to
the additional tool position.
 Switch on "Detergent" button.
 Perform cleaning with the additional
tool.
Shutting Down the Appliance
 Release the safety switch.
 Drive the appliance forward for another
1-2 m to draw off residual water.
 Set the programme selector switch to
"OFF".
ATTENTION
The brush can be permanently deformed.
Always set the appliance down with the
parking support folded out.
 Unfold the parking support.
Emptying the waste Water tank
WARNING
Please observe the local provisions regard-
ing the wastewater treatment.
 Set the programme selector switch to
"OFF".
 Fold the parking support in.
 Remove the cover of the waste water
tank.
 Take the waste water drain hose out of
, use at a max-

the support and lower it over a suitable
collecting device.
 Crush or bend the dosing equipment.
 Open the lid of the dosing equipment.
 Let off dirt water by opening the dosage
device at the discharge hose.
The wastewater flow can be controlled
by squeezing the dosing unit.
 Rinse the dirt water reservoir with clear
water.
Note:
The waste water tank can also be removed
and carried separately to the disposal facil-
ity.

Emptying the Fresh Water Tank
WARNING
Please observe the local provisions regard-
ing the wastewater treatment.
 Push down the coupling to drain the
fresh water.
 Pull off the hose and swivel it down.
Frost protection
In case of danger of frost:
 Empty the fresh and dirt water reser-
voirs.
 Store the appliance in a frost-protected
room.
Folding down the steering column
To reduce the space requirements for
transport and storage, the steering column
can be folded down.
 Release the star knob for the transport
position.
 Swivel the steering wheel forwards.
 Tighten the star handle.

Transport

CAUTION
Risk of personal injury or damage! Mind the
weight of the appliance during transport.
 Remove the brush to avoid damage to
the brushes.
 When transporting in vehicles, secure
the appliance according to the guide-
lines from slipping and tipping over.
Transport on stairs
 Adjust the steering wheel to the highest
position.
 One person holds the appliance by the
two front handles under the fresh water
tank.
 The second person holds the appliance
by the steering wheel.
Note:
Do not carry the appliance by the cleaning
head, as this can cause the appliance to
swing around the steering column.

Storage

CAUTION
Risk of personal injury or damage! Consider
the weight of the appliance when storing it.
This appliance must only be stored in inte-
rior rooms.

Care and maintenance

DANGER
Risk of electric shock.
Prior to all work on the appliance, switch off
the appliance and pull the power plug.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage for the appliance due to
leaking water. Drain the wastewater and re-
maining fresh water prior to performing
tasks on the appliance.
 Park the machine on an even surface.
Maintenance schedule
Before starting work
 Check the mains connection cable for
damages. Replace the defective mains
cable.
 Check spray pattern of the nozzles.
