This guide must be translated by the dealer into the language of the country of use, except if the translation is provided by the manufacturer.
For your own safety, you must strictly follow the usage, inspection, maintenance and storage instructions.
KRATOS SAFETY cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect accident occurring following use other than that provided for in these instructions;
do not use this equipment beyond its limits!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND PRECAUTIONS:
The KRATOS SAFETY anchorage point is compliant with the requirements of European standard EN 795:2012 (anchorage device – Type A). It is
designed to be attached to a receiving structure for connecting PPEs to prevent falls when working at a height.
The anchorage plate has two 13 mm diameter holes spaced 100 mm apart to allow it to be fixed to the receiving structure. The plate is attached using a
chemical or mechanical pin, or a stainless steel screw and nut system. The anchorage plate has no up/down direction and is delivered without fasteners.
Position: The anchorage plate must be installed in a location where it can be safely connected/disconnected.
The choice of location must take into account:
the free space needed for the fall protection system connected to the anchoring plate,
the risk associated with the pendulum effect in the event of a fall,
the fall factor.
Installation: Drill a hole that is the right depth and width for the fasteners used (see the fastener manufacturer's instructions) in the receiving structure.
The hole must be perfectly aligned and even for its entire length. Attach the anchorage point to the receiving structure using the tightness recommended
by the manufacturer of the fastener. The entire flat surface of the anchorage point must be in contact with the receiving structure.
The anchorage plate will be fixed to the structure with 12 mm diameter bolts and safety nuts. The minimum axial tensile strength must be 1100 daN. In
the case of dowel mounting, the manufacturer's assembly instructions must be strictly followed. IMPORTANT: Clean the hole with compressed air to
remove any drilling debris.
Using stainless steel fasteners is recommended. The entire flat surface of the anchorage point must be in contact with the receiving structure.
In all cases, it is recommended that each structural anchor (fastener) be subjected to an axial tensile load of 5 kN after it is installed in the material in
question to ensure it is solidly fixed. The structural anchor must bear the load for at least 15 seconds.
User safety relies on the ongoing effectiveness of the equipment and full understanding of the safety instructions contained in this leaflet.
Before and during use, we recommend that you make the necessary arrangements for a safe rescue, should this be required.
This equipment must only be used by trained, competent and healthy persons or under the supervision of a trained and competent person. Warning!
Certain medical conditions may affect user safety; if in doubt, consult your doctor.
Do not use this device to lift loads.
Be aware of the hazards that could reduce the performance of your equipment and, therefore, the safety of the user in the case of: exposure to extreme
temperatures (<-30°C or>+50°C); prolonged exposure to the elements (UV rays, moisture) or to chemicals; electrical constraints; the fall arrest system
becoming twisted when in use; or sharp edges, friction, cuts, etc.
Before each use, check: the condition of the fasteners and the anchorage point; they must be in good visible condition with no marks, bumps, deformations,
cracks, oxidation, etc. In case of doubt, the connector must not be used any more. In corrosive environments, checks must be carried out more frequently.
The system must not be modified.
Chemical products: do not use the device in the event of contact with chemical products, solvents or fuels that could affect its operation.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

Material: Cast aluminium alloy, treated. Weight: 330 g.
Static strength > 12 kN in the three main directions of use (see figure above).
Dynamic test: 100 kg mass connected to a 2 m lanyard dropped 2.5 m.
KRATOS SAFETY certifies that the anchorage plate has been tested in accordance with standard EN 795:2012 Type A and TS 16415:2013 (max. 3
users).
COMPATIBILITY FOR USE:
The device is for use with a fall arrest system as defined in the product data sheet (see standard EN363) to guarantee that the dynamic force exerted on
the user during the arrest of a fall is maxi 6 kN. A fall arrest harness (EN 361) is the only body-gripping device that may be used. It may be dangerous
to create one's own fall arrest system where each safety function can interfere with another safety function. Therefore, it is important to read the
recommendations on using each component in the system before use.
VERIFICATION:
The expected service life of the product is unlimited, if it is inspected annually by a competent person approved by KRATOS SAFETY,
but it may last a longer or shorter time depending on how it is used and/or the result of annual checks.
The equipment must be systematically checked if in doubt or after a fall and at least every twelve months by the manufacturer or a competent person*
and in strict compliance with the manufacturer's periodic examination procedures (and in particular the Inspection Guides ref. GI XXXXXXXX-XX), in
order to ensure its strength and therefore the safety of the user. The product data sheet should be completed (in writing) after each verification. The date
