TFQ 2 W
1

Application

The TFQ 2 W Remote Control is used only
in conjunction with weather controlled feed
temperature regulator of the TA...E/A series
without built-in timer or of the TA 210 A, TA
210 K and TA 12K series.
With the TFQ 2 W, two operating modes are
possible (for settings see Section 5.3).
a)
Remote control without room tempe-
rature sensing,
b)
Remote control with room tempera-
ture sensing.
Note: For use as a remote control without
room temperature sensing, any mounting lo-
cation can be selected.
For use as a remote control with room tem-
perature sensing, the unit must be mounted

Safety Notes

The TFQ 2 W remote control is
connected directly to the TA...-regula-
tor. Do not connect the remote control
to the 230 V mains.
Use the TFQ 2 W only in conjunction
with Junkers gas heating units listed in
7
to
11
.

Mounting
4.1
General (only for room temperature
sensing)
Important for the regulating quality of the re-
mote control is the selection of a suitable
mounting location. The room in which it is
mounted must be suitable for controlling the
temperature of the complete heating system.
The radiators installed in the room should
not be equipped with thermostatic valves.
It is more effective to install hand valves that
can be preset so that the output of the radia-
tor in the room where the TFQ 2 W is moun-
ted can be set as low as possible.
Select a mounting location on an interior wall
if possible and take care that neither drafts
nor heat radiation can affect the thermostat.
Adequate space must be provided beneath
the thermostat so that the air in the room can
circulate unrestricted through the ventilation
openings (crosshatched area in
the recommended distances in
4.2
Attaching the Remote Control
For mounting, pull the top part of the remote
control (a) from the base (b). This is done by
prying open the housing with a screwdriver
( ).
1
The base (b) of the TFQ 2 W can either be
mounted with two screws (d) to a standard
flush connection box (c) of 55 mm diameter
(
4
) or mounted directly on the wall with
plugs (6 mm) and screws (3.5 mm dia., oval
head) ( ). Use the enclosed drilling templa-
5
te for this purpose.
4.3

Electrical Connection

The TFQ 2 W remote control is operated
with a direct current of 24V which is provided
by the TA...-regulator over a three conductor
