3 Installation and Operation

3.1 Checking the Location

The correct location is crucial for the accuracy of the weighing results.
1 Ensure that the location of the weighing platform is
stable, vibration-free and horizontal.
2 The surface must be able to bear the weighing platform
under maximum load at the points of support.
3 Do not use the weighing platform in regularly wet and
corrosive environments Never immerse platform into
liquids.
4 Observe the following environmental conditions:
No wet and/or corrosive environments
No direct sunshine
No strong draught or vibration
No permanent water on the load cell (max. 30 min. per day)
Absolute humidity shalll stay below 30 g/m
No excessive temperature fluctuations
Temperature range -10 °C to +40 °C / 14 °F to 104 °F

3.2 Connecting the Weighing Platform to the Weighing Terminal

The PBA436 weighing platforms are designed for use with analog METTLER TOLEDO weighing terminals.
1 Insert the weighing platform cable through the cable gland into the weighing terminal.
2 Connect the weighing platform cable to the terminal strip of the weighing terminal according to the following
table.
