changing accessories. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the tool accidentally.
Inserting and releasing battery
pack
Set Forward/Reversing lever (3) to the
center (locked position). Slide charged
battery pack (11) into the housing until
the battery pack locks into position (Fig.
2).
Your tool is equipped with a secondary
locking latch to prevent the battery pack
from completely falling out of the
handle, should it become loose due to
vibration.
To remove the battery pack, press the
battery pack release button (10) and
slide the battery pack (11) completely
out of tool housing (Fig. 3).

Inserting and removing
accessories
locked in bit holder by pulling on bit
after it has been inserted (Models GDR
GDX).
The GDR and GDX bit holder accepts
only standard 1/4" hexagonal shank
accessories with power groove.
Model GDR18V-1860C
Your GDR18V-1860C tool is equipped
with a quick release bit holder. To insert
a bit (21), simply pull locking sleeve (2)
forward, insert desired bit into bit holder

To avoid loss of
control, ensure bit is
(1) and release locking sleeve (Fig. 4).
To remove an accessory, pull locking
sleeve (2) forward and remove it from
the bit holder.

Model GDS18V-1860C
Your GDS18V-1860C tool is equipped
with a 1/2" square drive with friction ring
and thru-hole designed for impact-ready
sockets. Attach only high quality
accessories with the proper size square
drive designed for use with impact
wrenches.
To install a socket (24), insert the square
output drive (16) into the square end of
the socket. To remove, pull off output
drive (Fig. 5).
