Heure Sautante - Pink gold
Te c h n i c a l N o t e s
Limited edition of 50 pieces
This "numerical" complication is unusual in that it displays the digits for the hours
in a large, fixed window. The hour hand is replaced by a rotating disc on which the
hour digits are printed. The figures jump instantly when the hour changes. The
window, located at 12 o'clock, is perfectly aligned with the single central minute
hand and the power reserve indicator at 6 o'clock, arranging the information by
order of importance. The power reserve indicator becomes particularly useful since
the mechanism triggering the "jump" in the hours requires power. It gives the user
an indication of the remaining power, which is vital for the smooth functioning of the
movement. This indicator is displayed in an easily legible semi-circular window at 6
o'clock.
The power reserve is highest when the hand points to the far left of the semi-circle
(HAUT), and lowest when the hand points to the right (BAS). The watch stops when
it no longer has sufficient mechanical energy. Please note that the watch's accuracy
may vary when the hand is in the last "right-hand quarter" of the semi-circle (BAS)
corresponding to the last 10 hours of operation.

Winding. When the watch has stopped (crown in position 0): wind the mechanism
by turning the crown clockwise. After about 40 rotations, the watch is fully wound
(the mechanism has no stop in order to keep the winder from being wound too
tightly). The power reserve hand points left and indicates "HAUT" corresponding to
maximum power. The operating time is then about 40 hours.
When the watch is being worn , winding takes place automatically.
Setting tHe tiMe
Pull the crown into position 1. Set the time by turning the crown in the desired
direction. The hour disc is designed to "jump" i.e. "move to the following hour"
between the 59
and 60
th
mechanical movement that activates the hour change is reversible: the user is able
to return to the previous hour by turning the crown clockwise (which rotates the
minute hand counter clockwise). The "jump" of the hour disc is then postponed by
approximately 10 minutes.
iMPortant
Once the watch has been completely set, in order to guarantee perfect water-
resistance, push the crown back into position 0. The crown must never be handled
underwater.
