EMERGENCY MANOEUVRE OR MANUAL MANOEUVRE
FROM INSIDE
Manual opening from inside is obtained by fully rotating the spe-
cial release handle M (fig. 11) on each motor casing in the direc-
tion of the arrow; in this way the motor pinions are released and
the up-and-over door can be opened or closed manually.
WARNING. When the motor handles are in the release posi-
tion, the up-and-over-door does not maintain blocking when clo-
sing. To block the door the door handles must therefore be retur-
ned to the block position.
To return the automation device to working under power, it is suffi-
cient to rotate fully the release handle in the opposite direction of
the arrow shown on each motor casing.
EMERGENCY MANOEUVRE OR MANUAL MANOEUVRE
FROM OUTSIDE
For releasing from outside the external release Mod. SM2 is avai-
lable. This has to be applied on the inside of the door to the exi-
sting cremonese handle, as illustrated in fig. 15. It has to be instal-
led in place of the bolt which is inserted in the up-and-over door
girder. Two flexible sheaths with iron wire are fixed in place of the
bolt, using special brackets, which serve to control the release
lever for each installed motor.
The releasing manoeuvre can therefore be carried out from inside
or outside, by rotating the cremonese handle. To reset to motori-
sed functioning it is sufficient to bring the cremonese handle to
the initial position and the pinions will be inserted automatically at
the first Start control.
CHECKING THE AUTOMATION DEVICE
Before making the installation definitively operational, carry out
scrupulously and accurately the following phases:
- Check that all the safety devices function correctly (pneumatic
rubber tubing device -photo-electric cells -ammeter stop etc.).
- Check that the door thrust lies within the limits envisaged in the
current norms.
- Check start and stop operations in the case of manual control.
- Check start and stop operations in the case of remote control by
radio.
- Check the control panel logics for normal or personalised func-
tioning.
USING THE AUTOMATION DEVICE
Since the automation device can be controlled at a distance and
out of sight, it is essential to check all the safety devices frequen-
tly, to ensure that they are in perfect working order.
WARNING: In the case of any malfunctioning of the safety
devices, rapid intervention is required, also with the use of specia-
lised personnel.
DANGER: It is advisable to keep children at a safe distance
from the field of action of the automation device.
CONTROL
Use of the automation device permits the door to be opened and
closed by motor. The control can be in various ways (manual,
remote control, access control with magnetic badge etc.) accor-
ding to the necessities and characteristics of the installation.
For the various control systems, refer to the relative instructions.
The installer should instruct the user concerning the use of the
control and emergency devices.
MAINTENANCE
DANGER: For all maintenance on the installation, disconnect
the electrical supply.
Points requiring checking and maintenance are:
- The running guides for the up-and-over door. Every year check
the state of lubrication.
- Occasionally clean the optical parts of the photo-electric cells.
- For any anomalous functioning in the equipment which is
encountered and not solved, disconnect the electrical supply
and request the intervention of qualified personnel (the installer).
When the automation device is out of use, use the handles for
the emergency manoeuvre (see paragraph EMERGENCY
MANOEUVRE FROM INSIDE AND OUTSIDE).
DEMOLITION
The materials are to be eliminated respecting the current norms.
In the case of demolition of the automation device no particular
dangers or risks exist deriving from the automation device itself.
It is advisable, when materials are being recuperated, that these
are separated by type (electrical parts, copper, aluminium, plastic,
etc.).
DISMANTLING
If the automation device is to be dismantled and then reassem-
bled in another location it is necessary to:
- Disconnect the mains supply and disconnect the entire electrical
system.
- Remove the reducer motor from the foundation block.
- Dismantle the control panel and all the components making up
the installation.
- In cases where some components cannot be removed or are
damaged, these are to be replaced.
CONNECTING TO THE JUNCTION BOX
Refer to the appropriate instruction manual when connecting to
the control panel.
