Descaling procedure:
1.
Buy a commercially available descaler for espresso machines and follow the instructions on the package.
2.
Empty the water tank. Fill the water tank with the recommended amount of descaler and fill the rest of the
water tank with water up to the "MAX" mark.
3.
Place a large container under the group head.
4.
Follow the steps 1 – 8 of the PREHEATING section. When you reach step 8, press the Coffee button to
pump 2 cups (about 60 ml/2 oz each) of descaling water. Discard the water from each cup.

Next, press the Steam button and wait until the indicator illuminates.

Turn the Steam control knob anti-clockwise to make steam for 2 minutes. Then turn the Steam control
knob clockwise to the

Press the Power button to turn OFF the espresso machine. Let the descaling solution sit in the machine
for 15 minutes.
8.
Press the Power button to turn ON the espresso machine.
9.
Wait until the Coffee button illuminates, and then press the Coffee button to pump until no descaling water
is left in the water tank. Discard the collected water.
Tap water rinsing procedure:

Remove the water tank from the espresso machine. Wash well and fill it with tap water up to the "MAX"
mark. Attach the water tank to the espresso machine.
11.
Repeat steps 3 – 5 above 3 times (to pump tap water).
12.
Press the Coffee button to pump hot water until the water tank is empty.
13.
Your espresso machine is now descaled.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
The metal parts of the
appliance have rusted.
Water leaks from the bottom
of the coffee maker.
Water leaks from the sides
of the filter.
The coffee tastes sour.

The descaler used was not suitable
for espresso machines (the
descaler was too strong, causing it
to corrode the metal parts).

locked into the group head.
The appliance was not flushed with

time.

Solution
Use a commercially available
descaler suitable for espresso
machines.
Empty and clean the drip tray
regularly.
Re-install the water tank.
Unplug the appliance and contact
the closest authorized service
centre to arrange a repair.
Remove coffee grounds from the
rim before attaching to the filter.
Do not fill coffee grounds above the
rim of the filter.
Fill coffee grounds evenly and level
with the rim of the filter, and then
tamp the coffee grounds with the
tamper.
Ensure the portafilter is properly
inserted into the group head in the
UNLOCKED position, and then
turn the handle to the right until it
reaches the
LOCKED position.

FIRST USE, and follow the flush
procedure. Repeat if necessary.
- Use fresh coffee grounds.
- Store unopened coffee packages
in a cool, dry place.
- After opening a coffee package,
reseal it tightly and store it in the
fridge to maintain its freshness.
