Initial startup

Adjusting the push handle
Note
When the device is delivered, the push handle is folded down. It
can be adjusted to 3 different heights for work.
1. Fold the push handle up into the desired position. Make sure
that the grooves engage correctly in the bolts (fixation).
2. Tighten the star screws hand-tight.
Opening/closing the cover
CAUTION
Danger of crushing if your fingers are jammed
To open and close the device cover, only grasp the recessed grip
provided.
ATTENTION
Risk of burns from the hot drive motor
The drive motor can get hot during operation.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Pay attention to the warning symbols.
Note
It is necessary to open the cover:
● for service and cleaning work
● for changing/cleaning the dust filter and pre-filter
● for storing a replacement battery.
1. Open the cover: Grab the cover by the recessed grip and slow-
ly swivel it all the way forward. A strap holds the cover.
2. Closing the cover: Slowly swivel the cover back.
Mount the side brush
The side brush is supplied with the device and must be attached
to the device before initial startup.
See chapter "Changing the side brush".
Charge/insert battery
Charge the battery before initial startup.
A description of this can be found in the separate operating in-
structions for the battery and charger.
1 Insert the charged battery into the battery holder, slide it in as
far as it will go and click into place.

A dust bag can be inserted into the waste container for easy and
safe disposal of the waste.
1. Operate the lock of the waste container (pull it backwards).
2. Tilt the waste container backwards and pull it out.
3. Fold the fastening clamps on the front of the waste container
outward.
4. Place the dust bag in the waste container and put it over the
edge.
5. Close the fastening clamp again.
6. Insert the waste container and push it all the way to the front.
7. Check whether the waste container is engaged.
Notes on sweeping operations
CAUTION
Risk of damage
Carry out cleaning work in the forward direction of travel.
Do not carry out any cleaning work with the waste container re-
moved.
Do not let the device run in place with the roller brush switched
on.
Do not sweep in packing tape, string or the like (damage to the
sweeping mechanism).
Note
Adjust the sweeping speed to the conditions in order to get an op-
timal cleaning result.
