Food preservation
Only store fresh foods, which have been cleaned and wrapped in appropriate food packaging
•
or containers. Meat and cleaned fish should be packaged and consumed preferably within two
days.
Fruit and vegetables can be stored directly in the vegetable compartment. It is not necessary to
•
pack them separately.
To reduce humidity and subsequent frost, never put liquids in unsealed containers in the
•
refrigerator.
Allow hot food and hot drinks to cool to room temperature before placing them in the refrigerator.
•
To ensure that air can circulate properly, never cover the shelves with paper or plastic sheets.
•
Limit how often the door is opened and do not leave the door open for too long to prevent the
•
refrigerator's temperature from rising.
Avoid contact between packaged food or containers and the refrigerator's lighting.

Defrosting
Ice forms at the back of the refrigerator when the water contained in the food spreads through the
air inside the appliance, making it more difficult to refrigerate your food.
If the layer of frost exceeds 10 mm, manually defrost the device as follows:
Set the temperature control back to "0" (off).
1.
Remove the fresh food from the refrigerator. Wrap the food items and store them in a cool
2.
place.
Leave the refrigerator door open and wait for the ice to melt completely. To speed up the
3.
process, place a container with some hot water inside the appliance. The water drains through
the drainage hole (see figure on next page). The drainage system can get dirty very easily and
cause unpleasant odours; get into the habit of cleaning it regularly (see the "Cleaning" section).
Clean and dry the inside of the appliance thoroughly.
4.
Put your food back in the appliance and then set the thermostat to the required position.
5.
Cleaning
Switch off the appliance and unplug it before

cleaning.
We recommend that you clean and disinfect your appliance regularly.
Remove the fresh food from the refrigerator. Wrap the food items and store them in a cool

place.
Clean the appliance and accessories inside with a soft sponge and soapy, lukewarm water
2.
with white vinegar.
