1. Preface
Dear user,
You have chosen a high-quality walking aid from Bischoff & Bischoff.
We thank you for your trust. These operating instructions contain all
the necessary information for operating the VFG walking aid.
Your walking aid is designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
Please read and observe the operating instructions carefully before
using your new walking aid for the first time. This is an integral and
necessary part of the walking aid. Keep the operating instructions
handy and give them to the user when passing on the walking aid.
For visually impaired users, this document is accessible as a PDF file

2.1. General safety notes
•
To avoid falls and dangerous situations, first practise using your
new walking aid on level, manageable terrain.
•
There is a danger of trapping body parts when adjusting the
walking aid! Avoid collisions with other objects of any kind.
•
Do not hang bags or other objects on the walking aid.
•
When walking, the walking aid must be used with the less extended
feet pointing to the side of the user, otherwise there is a risk of
tripping.

•
Make sure that the four-legged support is always placed vertically
and not too and not too far away from your body.
•
All four feet of the walker must have a firm grip before you move
forward with small steps.
Always place the four-footed walking aid vertically
on the floor and not too far away from the body.
Only when all four feet of the walking aid have a
firm grip, move forward with small steps.
•
Observe the storage and operating conditions (see chapter 5).
•
Reporting of incidents.
If you, as the operator, user or their relatives, notice possible defects
or functional restrictions, please contact an authorized specialist
dealer immediately. Operators, users or their relatives should inform
the dealer who provided you with the product about suspected
serious incidents that directly or indirectly had or could have one of
the following consequences and by which they are affected. You can
also report this to the competent higher federal authority.
•
the death of a patient, user or other person,
•
the temporary or permanent serious deterioration in the state of
health of a patient, user or other person,
•
a serious public health hazard.
Protect the walking aid from sunlight and heat
to avoid burns from heated components.
Only use the walking aid on firm, level ground.
