7. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

SYMPTOM
Tool does not operate when switch
is pressed
Tool does not return to initial
position when switch is released
Tool stops before Neobolt is fully
swaged
Pintail is damaged
Tool does not return fully
Collet does not release pin
Tool does not release collar from
anvil
CAUSE
Battery is defective
Battery is not fully charged
Battery is not fully seated
Battery pack has reached
operating temperature limit
through continuous use or defect
Electrical malfunction
Stuck Spindle Clutch
Battery pack has reached
operating temperature limit
through continuous use or defect
Setting load of fastener is beyond
tool capacity
Build up of debris inside the Nose
Equipment
Selected tool stroke too short
If tool is in electronic stroke
control mode: Mechanical stroke
adjustment pin may not be fully
retracted
Selected stroke too long
Collet is worn out
Build up of debris inside the nose
equipment
Build up of debris inside nose

Collet not installed correctly
Anvil is loose
Dirty or worn anvil
REMEDY
Replace Battery
Charge Battery
Remove battery and re-insert.
Reset tool to home
Remove battery and allow to cool.
Mount battery and reset tool to
home
Remove battery, wait five seconds
and reinsert. Reset tool to home
Clean Spindle Clutch and Spindle
to operate smoothly
Remove battery and allow to cool.
Mount battery and reset tool to
home
Reset tool to home, adjust stroke
of tool to proper depth
Service and clean Nose Assembly
Adjust tool stroke
Fully retract pin
Shorten stroke
Replace collet
Service and clean Nose Assembly
Service and clean Nose Assembly
Remove nose housing and adjust
collet
Tighten Anvil
Inspect anvil, clean or replace.
