INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

The frequency of inspection and maintenance will vary depending on type of equipment, impact attenuating
surfacing, materials used and other factors (e.g. heavy use, levels of vandalism, coastal location, air pollu-
tion, age of equipment, whether the stability of the equipment relies on one pole...). The frequency of in-
spection should be increased if there are factors that reduce the impact attenuation level over time (e.g.
degradation of organic materials, ageing due to UV exposure).
Routine visual inspection (weekly to monthly)
- Always check that the bolts and nuts are securely fastened.
- Check the shock absorbing surface for objects that don't belong there.
- Check for missing parts.
