STARTING
7.1
START
1. Check the ignition cable for tight fit on the spark plug.
2. Turn the engine switch to "ON" (fig. 7a).
3. To start a cold engine, move the choke lever to the "
- fig. 7b). To start a warm engine, move the choke lever to the "
(choke opened - fig. 7c).
4. Set the gear activation lever to transport position to prevent cutter deck from
touching the ground (fig. 7d).
5. Standing behind the unit, pull and hold the brake control handle (fig. 7e).
6. Pull out the rope starter handle (as shown in fig. 7e) slowly until you feel some
resistance. Then wind it fully out rapidly. Return it slowly to the rope guide pin
after the engine has started. Keep the brake control handle pulled all the time.
