The Dräger X-plore
8000
The hood is used as a facepiece for respiratory
protective devices. It makes breathing air fed in from the RPD available.
The breathing air is supplied through a breathing hose on the back of the hood.
The breathing air flows from behind over the wearer's head to the area where it
is breathed in. The positive pressure created has the effect of preventing
polluted ambient air from getting in.
