For correct and effective use of the apparatus and
to avoid hazards, it is essential to read the following
recommendations and to act accordingly.
Strictly follow the Instructions for Use.
Any use of the full face mask requires full under-
standing and strict observation of these instruc-
tions. The full face mask is only to be used for the
purposes specified herein.
Maintenance
The full face mask must be inspected and serviced
by experts at regular intervals and a record kept.
Repair and general overhaul of the full face mask
may only be carried out by trained service person-
nel.
We recommend signing a service contract with
Dräger Safety to have all maintenance jobs carried
out.
Only authentic Dräger spare parts may be used for
maintenance.
Observe chapter "Maintenance Intervals".
Safety Symbols
While reading this Manual, you will come across a
number of warnings concerning some of the risks
and dangers you may face while using the device.
These warnings contain signal words that will alert
you to the degree of hazard you may encounter.
These words, and the hazard they describe, are as

WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which,
if not avoided, could result in death or serious
injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which,
if not avoided, could result in physical injury.

tioned as follows:
— X-plore 6300/6500 and EPDM or Si on the

Description/Intended Use
The full face masks protect the face and eyes
against aggressive media.
The standard thread connection conforming to
EN 148-1 is designed to fit respiratory filters, power
assisted filtering devices, self-contained breathing
apparatus and compressed air line breathing appa-
ratus. Only use certified respiratory apparatus.
All full face masks of the X-plore 6000 series are
designed according to EN 136 Cl. 3 or Cl. 2 and
carry the CE mark. They correspond with NIOSH
directives (USA) and are approved according to
AS/NZS 1716 (Australia/New Zealand).
The masks with Order Nos. R 55 800, R 55 795,
R 55 790, R 51 525 und R 51 535 are approved by
NIOSH.

Special goggles are available for users who wear
spectacles. A welder's protective visor is available
for retrofitting full face masks with metal lens frame.
Use
In the USA, only use NIOSH approved respiratory
apparatus (see Approval Label).
Keep the full face mask ready
Loosen the straps as far as possible (figure B).
Pass the neckband around your neck and button
it into the front strap.
