4.1.1
Adjusting the hood to the right size
Image on the fold-out page (Figure B)
1. Select size from the table (see "Technical data", page 13).
The dimensions on the size table are guideline values. When selecting
the hood, make sure it fits tightly and is comfortable.
2. Adjust the support ring using the quick adjustment system. To do this,
compress the buckle on the sides and move the numbered strip into the
position required.
Adjusting the head circumference: The numbers are for orientation
purposes and correspond to the head circumference in centimeters.
Adjusting the head height: The numbers are for orientation purposes,
where level 1 is for a small setting and level 5 for a large setting.
Adjust the support ring so that the hood is comfortable and secure and an
optimal field of view is achieved.
4.1.2
Putting on the hood
WARNING
Danger of oxygen deficiency and CO
► Do not put the hood on until it is connected to the respiratory protective
device and breathing air is available.
1. Remove transport foil from the visor.
2. Put the hood on. The support ring is positioned in the middle of your
forehead and runs around your head. The face cuff runs under your chin,
over your ears and along behind your head.
3. Make sure that the support ring is completely inside the sealed area.
4. Check the fit of the hood. The hood must fit tightly and securely and be
comfortable. Readjust the quick adjustment system if necessary to make it
more comfortable to wear.
5. With long hoods, you can tuck the inner layer of the bib into your protective
clothing if required.
