Intended application
Ball valves are used to allow or block the flow of media under pressure. Ball valves are intended
exclusively for installation in pipework systems with connections of the same pressure rating and
corresponding connection or between flanges of the same pressure rating and identical flange connection.
The closing direction is clockwise.
Ball valves are bidirectional valves enabling bidirectional flow. In these valves, the line pressure presses
the floating ball towards the seat on the downstream side to achieve a bubble-tight seal.
Ball valves are designed to be opened counterclockwise and closed clockwise by rotating the lever handle
or operating the actuator. The lever indicates the direction of the ball opening. Detailed user information
for actuator powered ball valves is enclosed. Ball valves with actuator are operated via a compressed air
supply (hose), with a recommended working pressure of 6.0 bar, max. 8.0 bar.
