13.4 Use of green filter
• Green filter is used to increase the image contrast during
phase contrast observation.
Place the filter on the field lens of the microscope and begin the
observation. (Fig. 53)
• For brightfield or darkfield observation it advisable to remove
the green filter from the light path.
