10. Aim the gun towards the container and pull the trigger until product starts coming out of
the nozzle without air. Excessive product pressure causes premature wear of the valves and the
pump's and the gun's closing mechanisms, as well as an unnecessary expenditure of product
during application. In the event that there is a low fluid flow level it is advisable to increase the
nozzle product passage rate of the gun before increasing the working pressure with the equip-
ment's pressure regulator.
11. Adjust, by turning clockwise, the air regulator control of the gun (No.6 Fig.1) until the desired
air pressure is reached to achieve an optimal application of product.
12. Adjust the product regulator of the gun and the product pressure regulator of the equipment
(Nº 8 diagram 1) to control the product flow ejected by the gun.
13. Adjust the regulator of the spread of the gun in order to obtain the desired spread width.
14. Perform a non-compromised application test.

11. Stopping

Short stop
When stopping for a short period of time that does not pose possible problems with catalysing
or hardening of the product inside the unit and accessories, keep the product suction probe sub-
merged in the product (if the unit has a gravity tank there is no need to empty it) and apply the
Depressurisation procedure (Section 9).
Stopping when work is finished
1. Adjust the air pressure inlet regulator of the equipment gun (No.5 Fig.1) by turning it counter
clockwise until a pressure of 0 bar is reached.
2. Pull the spray gun trigger, holding it until no more product comes out of the gun.
The unit is now ready to be cleaned.

12. Cleaning

The washing machine, the hoses and the rest of the unit must be cleaned with the appropriate
solvent, in order to remove any remaining product after each use. The useful service life of the
unit largely depends on the effectiveness of this cleaning process.
The unit must be cleaned:
- Before using it for the first time, in order to eliminate the traces of
maintenance oil that the equipment comes with from the factory.
- After completing the job.
- When proceeding to apply a different product (of a different colour or
characteristics) to what we are currently using.
Before proceeding to clean the unit you must have followed each and every one of the steps
described in the section Shut Down when work is finished (Section 11).
This implies that the unit and its accessories must be depressurised and without any product
inside.
Always use an appropriate solvent when cleaning the unit. For water-based products always use
water, for other products always use whatever is recommended by the manufacturer of the pro-
duct to be applied.
It is considered that the unit and its accessories are completely clean when the product sprayed
from the gun, or that flows out of the product outlet, is clean solvent and is free of the applied
product, for which it must be renewed as many times as necessary.
