Installation for babies from 40-60 cm (with cushion insert)
Set the headrest to the C1 position. 5 .c
Loosen the harness system pressing the central adjustment button
while carefully pulling the belt fastener at the same time.
Open the belt buckle, 5 .e fit the cushion insert for babies (15) in the
iMATRIX and pass the belt through the belt guides. 5 .f
Adjust the shoulder pads 5 .g so they fit with the cushion insert.
Place the child in the iMATRIX. Pass the straps over the shoulders and
bring them together over the front of the child's body.
So that the shoulder straps of the iMATRIX safety seat offer maximum
protection, they should be fitted just above the child's shoulders.

Your iMATRIX safety seat is fitted with a rapid adjustment system for
the shoulder strap height; simply press the buttons and slide the ad-
justment system along the backrest to the required position

Follow the same steps as for a baby from 40-60cm but set the head-
rest to the C2 position .c and DO NOT use the cushion insert (15).

J. ATTACHING THE iMATRIX TO YOUR JANÉ PUSH-
CHAIR
Your iMATRIX can be fastened onto any JANÉ chassis fitted witht Pro-
fix connectors (always check the pushchair instructions before fitting
the iMATRIX).
To fasten the safety seat onto a chassis, insert the Pro-fix connectors

into the slots in the chassis and press. 6 .a
correctly when you hear it lock into place and a green strip is dis-
played on the Pro-fix lever (found on the handle joint).
To release the iMATRIX from the chassis, simultaneously pull the re-
lease levers upwards found on both sides of the chassis joints and lift
the baby carrier up. 6 .c
! WARNING: The iMATRIX should always be attached to the push-
chair so the baby is facing the parent.
K. HOOD
The iMATRIX hood is detachable. Simply release the hood upholstery
from the headrest and pull the ends of the spoke until it is fully re-

leased. To fit the hood again, follow the same steps in reverse.

WARNING: The hood arch only has one possible assembly posi-

tion. Make sure that the grey marks on the arch and handle are
aligned as shown in the diagram.
L. RECOMMENDATIONS
Keep this instruction book for future reference. Always keep it in the
pocket inside the seat.
Ensure that inside the car, both luggage and any other object liable to
cause injury in the event of an accident are properly fastened or stored.
The iMATRIX safety seat should be securely fastened to your vehicle,
using the COMFY Base base, even when it is not in use, because in the
event of an accident it could cause injury to the other occupants of
the vehicle.
Remember not to use the iMATRIX safety seat in cars fitted with a front
airbag, unless it is disconnected or disabled, for which you should con-
sult the car manufacturer or retailer.
