Preparation for use

4.2.1 Preparations before first use
Filters can only be connected to the powered air-purifying
respirator and not directly to the Dräger X-plore 8000
facepieces.
1. Adjust the headband to fit the circumference of the
wearer's head (see fold-out page, illustration C1).
2. Adjust the distance between the helmet and the headband
as required.
To do this, remove both rear pivot bolts from the slots on
the headband and release both front fastening studs by
rotating them 90 degrees. Then place the two front
fastening studs in the preferred slots and secure in place
by once again rotating 90 degrees. Then press the rear
pivot bolts into the chosen slots until they can be heard
audibly clicking into place.
3. If necessary, remove the transport foil from the visor.
4. Carry out any other necessary preparations before using
the product (see "Preparations before every use",
page 12).

on in the correct order.
1. Connect the face shield to the breathing air supply with the
hose.
2. Turn on the breathing air supply.
3. Adjust the air outlet to the desired position.
4. Put on the face shield with the visor folded up.
5. Adjust the headband using the adjusting wheel at the back

4.3

During use

WARNING
Danger of injury or death!
If the breathing air supply fails, a build-up of carbon dioxide
and oxygen deficiency can quickly occur in the facepiece.
Respiratory protection is then no longer provided. There is
danger due to oxygen deficiency, CO
penetration of contaminants from the ambient air!
► Leave the danger zone immediately.
Do not fold up the visor when in use. The face shield only
provides full protection once the visor is folded down
completely.
4.4

After use
