4 Function

The angular movement and rotation prior to tightening the screws allows for alignment of the
limb to suit the individual user.
When tightening securely using Loctite on the pyramid screws only and torque settings shown,
the device offers a secure way to connect two parts of the limb.

5 Maintenance

Maintenance must be carried out by competent personnel.
The following routine maintenance is to be carried out at least annually:
• Ensure all screws are secure. If not remove and clean screws, reapply Loctite to the pyramid
screws only, tighten all screws to the correct torque settings (see Section 3 Construction).
• Check for visual defects that may effect proper function.
The user should be advised that any changes in performance of this device must be reported to
the practitioner.
Changes in performance may include:
• Any unusual noises
• Excessive play or loss of alignment
The remaining instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
Ensure the user has read and understood all safety and user-level maintenance information.
Advise the user that a regular visual check is recommended and signs of wear that may affect
function should be reported to their service provider.
Advise the user to inform the practitioner/ service provider of any changes in body weight and/
or activity level and any changes in performance of the device.
