15 Storing
15.1 Storing the Pressure Washer
WARNING
Store the pressure washer indoors in a dry, secure place
that is inaccessible to children and other unauthorized
users, @ 5.5. Improper storage can result in unauthorized
use and damage to the pressure washer, @ 5.5.
When storing the pressure washer for thirty days or longer:
► Clean the pressure washer, @ 16.2.
► Store the pressure washer indoors in a dry and secure
location, out of the reach of children and other
unauthorized persons.
► If the pressure washer cannot be stored in a room where
it is protected from freezing temperatures, protect the
pressure washer as outlined above, @ 13.2.
NOTICE
Freezing temperatures can damage components of the
pressure washer. STIHL recommends storing the pressure
washer indoors in a dry room where it is protected from
freezing temperatures. Relieve all system pressure and
make sure all water is eliminated from the pump system and
hoses before storing.
16 Cleaning
16.1 Flush the Pressure Washer
If cleaning agent has been used:
► Remove the detergent bottle and empty it.
► Collect and dispose of the detergent in accordance with
the manufacturer's specifications and all federal, state
and local laws, regulations and ordinances.
► Flush the detergent bottle with clear water.

► Insert the detergent bottle.
► Rotate 3-in-1 nozzle into position
power level.
► Switch on pressure washer and flush with clear water for
approximately 30 seconds.
16.2 Cleaning the Pressure Washer
WARNING
Before carrying out any of the cleaning work specified in this
chapter @ 16, take certain measures to reduce the risk of
personal injury from unintended activation: switch off the
pressure washer and disconnect the unit from the power
supply. Relieve all system pressure by pulling the trigger
switch and lock the spray gun trigger.
To clean the pressure washer:
► Clean the pressure washer's polymer components,
couplings and connectors with a slightly dampened cloth.
Do not use abrasives or solvents that may damage the
pressure washer's polymer components.
► Do not use a pressure washer to clean the unit or
otherwise spray it with water or other liquids.
16.3 Cleaning the Nozzle and Spray Lance
A clogged nozzle can cause excessive pressure to build in
the pump. Clean the nozzle if it becomes clogged.
To clean the nozzle and spray lance:
