Changing t he operat ive direct ion
The operative direction of controls is factory-
set as shown below.
To increase
If you need to mount the rotary commander on
the right hand side of the steering column, you
can reverse the operative direction.
Press (SOUND) for tw o seconds w hile
pushing the VOL control.
Tip
You can also change t he operat ive direct ion of
t hese cont rols w it h t he unit . (See " Changing t he
sound and display set t ings" on page 23).

You can adjust the bass, treble, balance, and
fader.
You can store the bass and treble levels
independently for each source.

Select the item you w ant to adjust by
pressing (SOUND) repeatedly.
Each time you press (SOUND), the item
changes as follows:
BAS (bass) t TRE (treble) t BAL (left-right)
t FAD (front-rear)

Adjust the selected item by pressing
either side of (SEEK) .
When adjusting with the rotary
commander, press (SOUND) and rotate the
VOL control.

At t enuat ing t he sound
Press (ATT) on the front panel or on the
rotary commander or card remote
commander.
"ATT-ON" lights up for a while.
To restore the previous volume level, press
(ATT) again.
Tip
When t he int erf ace cable of a car t elephone is
connect ed t o t he ATT lead, t he unit decreases t he
volume aut omat ically w hen a t elephone call comes
in (Telephone ATT f unct ion).
