When filling the magazine, hold the tool so that the
muzzle is not pointing towards own body or towards

any other person.
Do not load the tool with fasteners with the safety

Pull the pusher (l) back until it locks. Using the strip
of staples push aside the magazine covering (m) and
insert the staples. Finally release the pusher and slide

it manually towards the staples.

The penetration depth of the staple back can be
controlled by means of the air pressure. If this is
not satisfactory, the penetration setting offers a
12-41
more accurate adjustment of the penetration depth.
1.0 x 2.5
Adjustment is only possible in the unpressurized
20.5
condition.

Change the penetration depth by turning the setting
ring (n) using the Allen key supplied or a pin with max.
diameter of 4.5 mm (0.18 inch).
Turning from hole to hole in the setting ring causes a
3430
change by 0.2 mm (0.008 inch). The setting distance
is 4 mm (0.16 inch). The setting can be recognized by
the distance of the hexagon nut (p) in relation to the
contact face on the adaptor (o) (large distance = large
84 dB(A)
penetration depth).
92 dB(A)

The driver channel is flexibly closed at the front. When
a staple becomes bent the channel is flexibly widened
and the bent staple is automatically discharged. The
tool continues to be operational.
If jamming occurs in such a way that the return stroke
is blocked by the bent staple, this must be removed
as follows: First disconnect the tool from the supply
hose!
A screwdriver or similar object is used to push the
hoop of the retainer spring (i) over the toe and swivel
it under the tool. The bent staple can be removed once
the clamping plate (k), safety yoke (a) and the front
guide plate (s) have been taken off. Reassembly is in
reverse order.
When extreme jamming occurs, the channel widens
sufficiently so that the clamping plate (k) jumps over
the retainer indents of the back guide plate (u). Then
the three plates (a,k,s) can be taken off without twi-
sting the retainer spring (i) and the bent staple remo-
ved.
