STARTING AND STOPPING ENGINE
1. Starting
WARNING:
Ne er attempt engine start in a place where the unit was re ueled.
therwise, it may cause ignition or re.
E haust gas rom the engine is to ic. o not operate the engine in a poorly- entilated place, such as in a tunnel, building, etc.
perating the engine in the poorly- entilated place may cause poisoning by e haust gas.
n case o detection o any abnormality in sound, odor, ibration a ter start, stop the engine immediately and carry out inspection.

1) When the engine is cold, or after refuelled (cold start):

pump.
n general, uel enters into the carburetor by 7 to 10 pushes.

to the uel tank.

mo ing, settle down to take the stable position.
6 ull the starter handle slowly until eeling compression.

eturn the starter handle gently into the housing.
starter handle may hit your body or it may not rewind appropriately.
7 hen the engine starts, gradually lower the choke le er while checking
the engine operation. Be sure to lower the choke le er ully in the end.
n cold or when the engine is cooled down, always lower the choke
le er slowly. therwise, the engine may stop.
8 rasp the control handle the lock-o le er is released by the grasp
and pull the throttle trigger or warm-up operation. Continue warm-up
operation or 2 to 3 minutes.
hen the rotation o the engine stabili es and the engine accelerates
smoothly rom low to high speed by throttle mo ement, it is completion o
warming-up.
hen starting the engine, keep a distance o at least 3 m 10 eet .
