least blow out (purge) the probe with an air-filled syringe. Be careful with the probe tube – do
not kink it!
Attention: without such pretreatment, successful cleaning cannot be guaranteed at the next
stage (machine cleaning).
Attention:
Never rinse the MABS probe with disinfecting solutions, as this could impair the
cleaning result due to interaction between disinfectant residues and the agents used for ma-
chine cleaning.
Machine cleaning:
Both the MABS probes and the MABS connecting cable can be machine-treated. They are
heat-stable and can be thermally disinfected at 93°C (199°F). To ensure proper rinsing, use a
special machine insert (e.g. a mobile injector unit/basket or MIS insert) and attach the MABS
probes to nozzles specially provided for this purpose. The best machine cleaning programs are
those where the thermal disinfection is carried out during the final rinse.
Should a suitable hose connector be missing in your washer (rinsing machine), Martin offers a
special cleaning adapter (item no. 80-181-31-04) for flexible probe cleaning.
