After prolonged use, especially in sandy environments, the blade wears out. It should
then either be reground or replaced.
7.3.1
Loosening of the mower blade
Tilt the lawn mower to the side. Jam the knife with a wooden slat so that it cannot turn
with the blade screw. Then remove this hexagonal bolt & washer that attach the knife
and knife adapter to the motor. This is best done with a torque wrench.
7.3.2
Honing the mower blade
You can sharpen the knife by removing it and then sanding or filing the blade while re-
taining the original bevel as much as possible. It is very important that all sides of the
blade are ground evenly to avoid imbalances. An unbalanced blade can cause excessive
vibration and consequently damage the machine. Test the blade by balancing it on a
screwdriver handle. Continue sanding the heavier side until it is evenly balanced.
7.3.3
Replacement of the mower blade
Replace it only with a part approved by the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not lia-
ble for possible damage due to an asymmetrical knife or low material strength.
Refer to chapter #4 to obtain the replacement blade's type designation.
7.3.4
Installation of the mowing blade
Position the knife so that the marking embossed in the metal is visible downwards.
Align the washer above the knife and install the hexagonal screw. Pull the hexagonal
screw with 20 Nm Fixed torque.

Lubricate all moving parts at least once a season with a light oil.

All nuts and bolts must be checked regularly for correct torque.
Regularly check the blade and the blade support for cracks,
especially after you have grazed an object with the device.
