Mount the guide bar and chain as described in this instruction manual.

Mount accessories as described in this instruction manual or the instruction manual supplied with the
accessory.
7.
Never insert objects in the saw's openings.
5.3 Guide bar safety conditions
The guide bar is in a safe condition if the following points are observed:
1.
Guide bar is not damaged.
2.
Guide bar is not deformed.
3.
The minimum groove depth is maintained.
4.
Bar rails are free from burrs.
5.
Bar groove is not pinched or splayed.
Warning! If the guide bar is not in a safe condition, it can no longer support and guide the saw
chain properly. The rotating saw chain can jump off the guide bar. This can result in serious or
fatal injuries.
5.4 Chain saw safety donditions
The saw chain is in a safe condition if the following conditions are fulfilled:
1.
The saw chain is undamaged.
2.
The saw chain has been sharpened as specified.
3.
The height of the cutter depth gauges is between the service marks.
4.
The length of the cutters is between the wear marks.
Warning! Parts that are not in a safe condition cannot work properly and safety devices can be
disabled.
1.
Never use a damaged saw chain.
2.
Sharpen chain as specified.
