10.4 Filling up with chain oil
Chain oil lubricates and cools the rotating chain.
1.
Switch off the chain saw, remove the battery.
2.
Place your saw on a level surface so that the oil tank cap faces up.
3.
Use a damp cloth to clean the tank cap and the area around it.
4.
Turn the tank cap counterclockwise until it can be removed.
5.
Remove the oil tank cap.
6.
Fill up with chain oil, taking care not to spill any oil and do not overfill the tank.
7.
Place the tank cap on the tank opening.
8.
Press the tank cap down, turn it clockwise as far as it stops and tighten it down firmly.
9.
The oil tank is closed.
