Lighting of the "HEAT" control light means the operation of halogen heater. The product is fi tted with a temperature sensor that
controls the operation of the heater. During operation, the control light may switch on and off automatically depending on the
temperature settings. The higher temperature set and lower ambient temperature, the more frequently a heater is switched on.
WARNING! During and immediately after the work: the bowl, the lid and accessories placed inside the bowl, heat up to high tem-
peratures. Special care should be taken. Contact with heated product components may lead to serious burns.
Tips regarding the use of halogen oven
The use of a halogen oven for preparing food helps to provide an advantage over the process of food preparation in a traditional
oven.
Multiple tasks. The halogen oven can be used for: baking, frying, grilling, toasting, drying and defrosting of dishes and steam cooking.
Lowering the cholesterol content. Thanks to the use of forced air circulation, the fatty tissue of food is reduced thus lowering the
cholesterol content.
Time and energy saving. Thanks to the high effi ciency of forced air circulation method for food preparation, it is possible to reduce
the time and energy consumption.
Preserving taste values. Too long time and too high temperature easily deprive the food of its taste values. Thanks to easy control
of time and temperature, this problem can be solved.
Following tips are off ered regarding the way of preparing food in a halogen oven. They should be treated as tips that can be
modifi ed depending on your needs.
Baking. Place the food directly on the grate. In case of thick pieces of meat, turn them over in the middle of cooking time. Baking
time and temperature depends on the size and fat content of dishes, as well as on the desired fi nal result.
Frying. French fries deep frying eff ect can be obtained without frying in fat. French fries cut from fresh potato should be immersed
in fat, drain off the excess fat, and then heat in a halogen oven. The fat escaping from fries will make the fried fries crispy.
Dip the chicken pieces in butter and then in frying oil, drain off the excess fat and then heat in the halogen oven.
Toasting. Place the slices of bread in a rack and put it into a bowl. Observe the bread during preparation. Stop toasting after the
desired eff ects are observed. Place slices of stale bread in a rack and put it into a bowl for a few minutes at the maximum temper-
ature. This will allow restoring their crunchiness.
Defrosting. Put the food to be defrosted in a bowl, set the temperature to 100
minutes.
Steam cooking Steam cooking can be done while preparing other dishes. Food intended for steam cooking should be put on
aluminium foil, add some water and wrap it tightly in aluminium foil.
You can also add a small (about 1 cm high) amount of water to the bottom of the bowl, and place the food to be cooked on a high
grate.
Table with examples of times and temperatures of food preparation. Parameters should be adjusted to the amount of food and
the desired end result
