1.2 Safety Guidelines for technicians performing installation
and maintenance
Read the service manual carefully before operation.
Wear a safety helmet and safety shoes at all times. Mind your head and be
aware of where you place your feet.
Do not stand underneath the forklift. Do not walk through it or climb on
top of it.
You must obtain the customer's approval before performing any work.
You must be in possession of a forklift driving license if you intend to operate
the forklift on-site.
For METTLER TOLEDO technicians: do not connect the power supply from the
forklift without permission from the customer and/or forklift manufacturer.
Without clear approval, do not alter the scale by drilling, welding or by any
other means.
After installation is complete, the technician should train the customer's users on
how to use the scale safely, and train the customer's maintenance team on how
to inspect the scale regularly.
