The screen has a backlight, which turns off after one minute if no buttons are pressed.
It will light back up when any button is pressed.
The unit has an automatic button-lock function. The buttons will lock (

Please read this manual carefully before use.
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be
observed, including the following:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury to person:
1. The product is for household use only.
2. Connect the appliance to a single-phase AC supply with the same voltage specified
on the rating plate.
3. Do not cover the heater to avoid overheating.
4. Never leave the heater unattended when in use. Always switch off and unplug the
unit after use.
5. Be cautious when using near small children or persons with disabilities.
6. Do not place the heater directly below an electrical socket outlet.
7. Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover with rugs or furniture. Keep the cord
away from congested areas where it cannot be tripped over.
8. If the heater, its cord or plug is damaged, do not use the unit.
9. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
10. Avoid using an extension cord – it could overheat and cause a fire hazard.
11. Use the heater in well-ventilated areas. Do not block any openings on the product
to prevent overheating. Do not use on soft surfaces (beds, sofas etc), where
openings may become blocked. Use the heater on flat, dry and clean surfaces.
12. Do not place this heater near flammable materials, surfaces or substances (keep at
least 1m from the front of the unit), as this is a fire hazard.
13. Do not use the heater in areas where petrol, paint or other flammable liquids are
stored e.g. garages or workshops.
14. Do not use this heater near baths, showers or swimming pools.
15. Never touch the heater with wet hands.
16. This heater gets hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not touch the unit.
17. Before moving the unit, ensure it is unplugged and has cooled down for at least 15
minutes. If provided, use handles when moving the product.
18. Do not use other electrical devices with the same circuit as your heater – this can
cause an overload.
19. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
20. Children must be supervised, ensuring they do not play with the appliance.
