Starting the watch
The MARINE 5557 is a self-winding mechanical watch.
When first starting your watch, we recommend winding
the watch manually to reach a certain portion of the
reserve, and then the self-winding system will complete
the power reserve while you are wearing the watch.
Unscrew crown I by turning it downwards (
moves into position 2. This position makes it possible
to manually wind the movement. Before manipulating
the watch, if it is stopped, wind the crown 40-45 times by
turning the crown upwards (
the crown and screw it back into position 1 by turning it
upwards (
). Then, the watch worn on the wrist winds
up and reaches its full autonomy automatically. When
unworn, following a complete winding, the watch will stop
after about 55 hours.
This watch is guaranteed to be water-resistant to
10 bar (100 m), provided that crown I is in position 1
(screwed) and crown-pushbutton II is in position 1.
