Operation
To apply the weights:
• Slowly turn the wheel by hand to the weight
application position (Fig. 5-29a).
• Clean the application point before applying the
stick-on weight.
• Apply the weight at the point indicated by the laser.
• Slowly turn the wheel by hand again until the WAP
indicator reappears (Fig. 5-29b).
• Apply the weight at the point indicated by the laser.
The weights will have been applied to two contiguous
wheel spokes.
• On completion, run a verifi cation measurement.
• Select Enter to exit from this Mode.
Select Enter several times (depending on the
program stage) to force the program to close.
The original weight for the right plane will still be
displayed. The SWM indicator will disappear and
you will hear a brief beep.
The program returns to the main menu (Fig. 5-30).
Note:
There is no priority when applying split weights. The
operator can choose which to apply fi rst.
Warnings:
The measured unbalance value is only split into two
application points after the spoke positions have
been acquired.
When balancing with counterweights behind the
spokes, if an Optimisation/Minimisation is required,
run it before applying the weights.
