Installation
The unit can be flush wall mounted, or surface wall mounted.
Flush mounting
- remove the circuit support from the box (fig.2)
- the circuit support is adaptable to different cover plates, using the two side adapters and the 4 removable side
tabs (fig.3,4)
- make the electrical connections;
- fix the holder to the back box, using the screws provided (fig.5);
- apply the pressure plate (purchased separately) to the holder (fig.6);
Surface mounting
- insert the duct with the wires (fig.7, 7a);
- fix the box to the wall (fig.8, 9, 10);
- make the electrical connections;
- fix the support to the box, using the screws provided (fig.11);
- fit the pressure plate (provided) to the support (fig.12);
Pre Commissioning check
See the main product instruction booklet (HRI MINI)
Before commencing the commissioning procedure, refer to the design drawing for correct air flows.
See Figure 18.
NOTE: Ensure that extract air volumes and supply air volumes are close to be equal, according to specifics
defined by the air system design.
NOTE: If changes are required to meet differing system specifications the following on site adjustments can
be made.
FAN ADJUSTMENT FOR EXTRACT
At the start of any fan adjustment, you must check the minimum airflow rate and boost airflow rate
before commencing.
A) INSTALLER MODE
Apply this procedure on the main product body (HRI MINI):
- To start installer mode, press installer mode switch;
- When installer mode is ready the red LED indicator will start flashing every second. Now extract and supply
fans can be adjusted;
- To set minimum see in the following;
- To set boost see in the following;
- Once both setting are correct press installer mode switch;
- When out of installer mode the Red LED will stop flashing.
B) MINIMUM AIRFLOW ADJUSTMENT (1) (AUTO)
Apply this procedure on the main product body (HRI MINI):
- Boost switch must be OFF;
- NOTE: During the adjustment do not switch ON the boost switch;
- Put unit into installer mode;
- To adjust the minimum air flow setting, turn RV1 (extract fan) and RV2 (supply air fan) clockwise, to increase
the airflow rate and anticlockwise to decrease the airflow rate.
- When the minimum air flow is set, take the unit out of installer mode. Red LED will stop flashing.
C) BOOST AIRFLOW ADJUSTMENT
Apply this procedure on the main product body (HRI MINI):
- Boost switch must be ON (switch live);
- Boost airflow standard pre-set is 86 m3/h. To adjust, the boost switch must be ON (switch live);
- NOTE: During the adjustment do not switch OFF the boost switch;
- To adjust the boost air flow setting, turn RV1 (extract fan). (In AUTO mode, only the extract fan will boost);
- When the boost air flow is set, take the unit out of installation mode. Red LED will stop flashing.
