BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove the appliance from the box, discard any bags, stickers and polystyrene fillers.
2. Inspect the appliance for damage during transport and contact the seller when in doubt.
3. Verify that your power mains match the nameplate ratings of the appliance.
4. Place the appliance on a hard, firm, dry, level and even surface.
USING THE VACUUM SEALER
Vacuum packing and sealing is done by placing a food product in a plastic bag, from which
air is evacuated, and finally, the opening of the bag is hermetically sealed by pressure
welding. Vacuum packing with this appliance requires ready-to-use plastic bags or sealing
the food in plastic bags trimmed off and sealed from a sleeve of plastic film wound on a
roll. Trimming and sealing in plastic bags from a roll helps match the bag's length to the
size of the food product. The plastic bag roll should not exceed 290 mm in width, and
the plastic film must be made by knurling. This is the only plastic film grade suitable for
proper welding.
CAUTION! Vacuum packing DOES NOT substitute for cooling or freezing of food. All perishable
food types which require cold storage must be kept cold or frozen once vacuum-packed.
PREPARING THE PLASTIC BAGS
1. Connect the appliance to a mains outlet.
2. Press the lid lock buttons (8) and raise the lid (1).
3. Unroll the desired length of film and cut it.
4. Align the trimmed off edge of the plastic bag with the sealing bar gasket (7) and with most of the
plastic bag outside of the appliance. Place the plastic bag with the knurled side up.
5. Close the lid and press it down until the buttons (8) "click".
6. Use the "Food" button (2e) to select the "Dry" mode indicated by the LED (2h).
7. Press and hold the "STOP" button for a moment (2a) to unlock the sealing buttons, which is indi-
cated by the open padlock icon lighting up on the button (2a).
8. Press the "Seal" button (2c) – the button will light up – the sealing process is in progress. The back-
light will switch off, which means that the sealing process is completed. The sealing process can be
stopped with the "STOP" button (2a).
9. Open the lid of the vacuum sealer (1) and remove the sealed film.
CAUTION! Always open the top lid immediately once the sealing is completed and do not close
the lid until another sealing. Wait at least 40 seconds before the next sealing.
CAUTION! Do not touch the sealing bar (6) – burn hazard.
10. Check for proper seal welding. If the seal weld is irregular, broken, creased, white or milky in ap-
pearance, trim it off and try resealing again.
11. Unplug the vacuum sealer from the mains.
VACUUM PACKING WITH SEALING
1. Place the food product to be vacuum sealed in the plastic bag. The plastic bag should be large
enough to leave approximately 5 cm of free length to seal it well. Food products to be vacuum
sealed for SOUS VIDE cooking should be sliced or chopped into small, even parts. This will allow
heating the food thoroughly during cooking.
CAUTION! The length of the plastic bag to be sealed must be dry and clean. If the free length to
be sealed gets dirty when the food product is put in the plastic bag, clean it with paper towel.
