Sanitizing
To destroy bacteria and organic compounds in the water, use a
sanitation product regularly, available from your dealer.
Your Jacuzzi spa is equipped with a special compartment built
into the floating skimmer to hold sanitizing tablets.
CAUTION: Do not use chlorine tablets (Trichlor) in your
spa: this chemical can have an extremely corrosive effect
on certain materials in the spa. Damage caused by use
of this chemical, or improper use of any chemicals, is
not covered under the spa's warranty.
Ozonator (optional)
If you have elected to have your spa equipped with the ozone
system, you will find that your water stays fresh and clear with
significantly less chemical sanitizer usage.
Note: the ozoner operates with the circulation pump and turns
off when the whirlpool pump it turned on. Five minutes after
this pump is turned off, the ozoner begins operation again.
Troubleshooting
Display Messages
There are a number of unique functions designed into your
Jacuzzi
®
Premium spa to protect it from damage and/or to aid in
troubleshooting, which are signalled by messages on the display:
MESSAGE "OH"
Overheat Protection (Heater is deactivated, circulation pump
is activated).
I
Spa water temperature is above acceptable limits.
Do not get into the spa, the water may be too hot.
I
To correct the situation:
- Remove the spa's cover and allow your spa to cool down.
- Set the spa to "Economy" mode, so that the heater is activated
only during filtering cycles.
- If the condition persists, contact your retailer.
MESSAGE "COOL"
If the spa water is more than 6 °C cooler than the temperature
set point, pump 1 and the heater will automatically activate to
provide freeze protection. The spa will stay in this mode until the
water temperature reaches 9 °C below the set temperature.
I
No corrective action is required.
MESSAGE "FLO"
FLOW SWITCH (Heater is deactivated; recirculation pump
may also be deactivated).
Proper flow of water is obstructed or a flow switch has mal-
functioned.
Check for proper water level and for a clogged filter cartridge.

persists, let the side of the spa that houses the electro-mechan-

ever, if after 2 hours freezing conditions persist, the pumps will
restart automatically.
N.B.: This error commonly occurs when the spa is first filled
because tap water is often very cold.
