Which materials do I need for my induction hob?
There are often cases in which our induction hob does not heat pans properly, leading us to think that it
is faulty. In most of these cases it is usually due to the use of frying pans and pots that are not suitable
for induction. Below, we explain the main characteristics that an induction frying pan should have:
It is very important that the size of our utensils is adjusted to our cooking zone, being 14 cm or larger.
Our diameters range from 14cm to 32cm.
Ø 16cm
Ø 21cm
Ø 32cm
Its base should be flat and fully ferromagnetic for best results.
Ferromagnetic base
You can check if your pots and pans are suitable by doing the
magnet test.
Hold a magnet close to the base of the cookware; if it attracts
the magnet, it is suitable for induction.
Stainless steel, aluminium and copper utensils without a
ferromagnetic base are not suitable for induction.
