Activating / deactivating the „Replace filter" indicator tone
The „Replace filter" indicator tone can be activated or deactivated.
en
To do this:
• Switch the Silent off;
• While holding down the
- Brief indicator tone: acoustic signal deactivated
- Longer indicator tone: acoustic signal active

Operation with the SILENT flow sensor
If the extraction unit is operated in combination with a flow rate monitoring unit such as the SILENT flow
sensor, the following must be observed:
► If the flow rate is less than the defined threshold value for a certain period, this is detected by the
SILENT flow sensor, the corresponding indicator begins to flash, and a warning tone is output
every 30 seconds.
If the flow rate is too low at the suction point being monitored, safe operation is no longer guaran-
teed and the level of exposure to dust can be harmful to health!
In this case, the following measures must be taken:
⇒ Stop working at all suction points of the affected extraction unit This applies to the individual suction
channels of any multi-workbench extraction unit as well as to all suction points operated via a Y-junction
or via extractor switches
⇒ Determine why the flow rate is too low and resolve the issue.
Suction level is too low.
Dust bag is full.
Changing the dust bag does not result in the expect-
ed improvement.
Blockage in the suction point (suction mouth).
Blockage in the suction line.
Leakage in the section of the suction line between
the SILENT flow sensor and the extraction unit.
Determining the cause and measures can be carried out in the order shown
After every measure, you should switch on the extraction unit again and check whether the minimum flow
rate is again exceeded so that correct operation is possible again
⇒ Work should only resume after the fault has been rectified and the minimum flow rate is exceeded
again

Cleaning / Maintenance
The unit does not contain any internal parts that require maintenance.
Opening the unit is not permitted other than as described below!

Seals
To ensure the proper function of the dust extractor, it is vital that the following three seals:
- Profile seal on the dust drawer (Fig. 12a);
- V-ring seal on the dust drawer (Fig 12b);
- Seal on the upper front panel (Fig 20);
are not damaged
Inspect these seals when replacing the associated filters and replace them if they are found to be
damaged (refer to the spare parts list)
and
keys, switch the Silent back on and wait for the indicator tone

Measure
• Choose a higher suction level
• Change the dust bag
• Replace the fine filter.
• For low-dust replacement of the fine filter, observe
Chap 631
• Disconnect the suction hose at the suction point and
check whether there is a blockage in the suction point;
remove where appropriate
• Check the suction line at all disconnection points / ser-
vice openings section by section for blockages
• Check the installation of the SILENT flow sensor in
accordance with its instructions
