4 – CD/SD/USB playback (continued)
Program playback (audio CDs only)
By creating a program in advance, you can play the tracks you
want in the order you desire. The program can have a maximum of
32 tracks.
Preparing the program
Prepare the program using the following procedures.
o Program editing and playback functions cannot be turned on
when random playback mode is active (RND shown on display).
o The same track can be added to the program repeatedly.
o Opening the disc tray will clear the program.
1.
When stopped, press the main unit SHIFT button to activate
shift mode (SHIFT indicator lit), and press the 1 [PROGRAM]
button. The remote control PROGRAM button can also be
pressed.
This activates program setting mode. If the program has not
been set yet, a track can be assigned to program step "01"
("MEM" and the track number blink).

NOTE
If the program has already been set, the number and playback
time of the track assigned to program step "01" will be shown.
(see "Checking and editing the program" on page 26)

Use the numeric keypad or turn the MULTI JOG dial on the
main unit or use the remote control .// [l/;] buttons
to select the track to add to program step "01" ("MEM" and the
track number blink).

i The Home Screen will reopen if nothing is done for 5 seconds.
i When a track is selected, press the STOP (8) button to cancel
track selection and return to the Home Screen.
3.
Press the main unit MULTI JOG dial or remote control ENTER
button.
The selected track will be assigned to program step "01", and
the next program step will become ready for assignment.

4.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 above to add other tracks to the pro-
gram in order.
5.
Press the main unit PLAY (7) button or remote control 7
to start program playback.
NOTE
i The same track can be added to the program repeatedly.
i A "MEM FULL" error message will appear if you try to add more
than 32 tracks. The maximum number of tracks that can be
added is 32.

Checking and editing the program
The content of the program can be checked and edited.
Checking the program
1.
Press the main unit SHIFT button to activate shift mode
(SHIFT indicator lit), and press the 1 [PROGRAM] button to
activate program setting mode ("MEM" and the track number
blink).
The remote control PROGRAM button can also be pressed.

Repeat the previous step to activate program checking mode
("MEM" and the program step number blink).

Turn the main unit MULTI JOG dial or use the remote control
.// [l/;] buttons to change program step numbers,
and check track numbers.
3.
When finished checking the program, press the main unit
PLAY (7) button or remote control 7 button to start pro-
gram playback.
Editing the program
1.
Press the main unit SHIFT button to activate shift mode
(SHIFT indicator lit), and press the 1 [PROGRAM] button to
activate program setting mode ("MEM" and the track number
blink).
The remote control PROGRAM button can also be pressed.
2.
Repeat the previous step to activate program checking mode
("MEM" and the program step number blink).
3.
Show the program step number that you want to edit.
4.
Press the main unit SHIFT button to activate shift mode
(SHIFT indicator lit), and press the 1 [PROGRAM] button.
The remote control PROGRAM button can also be pressed.
5.
Turn the main unit MULTI JOG dial or use the remote control
.// [l/;] buttons to select a track, and press the main
unit MULTI JOG dial or remote control ENTER button to
assign it.
6.
To edit multiple program steps, repeat steps 3–5 above.
7.
When finished editing the program, press the main unit PLAY
(7) button or remote control 7 button to start program
playback.
