e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and
any other condition that may affect the power
tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool
repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.
in accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to
be performed. Use of the power tool for operations
different from those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.

SET UP
fITTING A DRILL BIT
WARNING: The Drill Bits
(19) are very sharp; always
wear gloves and handle
with care
1. Rotate one of the Drill
Bit Holders (16) until
you have access to the
fastening screw
2. Loosen the screw using
the Hex Key (20) supplied
3. Hold the bit so that the flat section of the shank will
align with the fastening screw
4. Insert the shank as far as it will go into the holder, and
tighten the fastening screw to secure in place
5. Check the bit is securely fastened
6. Repeat procedure with the other bit
ZEROING THE DEPTH GAUGE
After fitting the drill bits, it is necessary to re-set the
Depth Gauge (6) so that the Depth Adjustment Guide (7)
reads correctly
1. Loosen the Fence Angle Locking Knob (8) and position
the fence so that it is fully open (i.e. 90°)
2. Tighten the locking knob
regulations concerning installation, operation and
maintenance
• Use metal and voltage detectors to locate concealed
electric, water or gas lines. Avoid touching live
components or conductors
• Extension cable reels used with this tool must be
completely unravelled. Minimum conductor cross
section: 1.0mm

• When using this tool outdoors, connect to a power
supply with an RCD device and minimum 1.5mm
extension cable with water protected plugs in good
working order
• Ensure that the drill bit is securely fixed in the chuck.
Insecure drill bits can be ejected from the machine
causing a hazard
• Ensure that the drill bit is in contact with the workpiece
prior to starting up the tool
• Examine the chuck regularly for signs of wear or
damage. Have damaged parts repaired or replaced by
qualified service engineer
• Always wait until the drill has come to a complete stop
before putting it down
• On completion of the work remove bit from the machine
3. Loosen the Depth Adjustment Guide (7) locking knob
4. Place the bottom edge of the Front Face (10) against a
rigid surface and push the tool forward until the tips of
the drills are flush with the surface of the front face
5. Push the Depth Adjustment Guide (7) as far as possible
in the direction away from the front face and tighten
the locking knob
6. Adjust the position of the zero marker on the Depth
Gauge (6) so that it aligns with the zero position on the
depth guide. Use a small flat screwdriver to slide the
depth gauge to left or right as necessary
CONNECTING A DUST ExTRACTION SySTEM
1. Push-fit the Dust Adaptor (18) into the Dust Port (17)
2. Attach the hose from the dust extraction system to the
dust adaptor and make sure it is fitted securely
NOTE: The adaptor can be adjusted to any take-off
position through the 180° arc towards the operator
