8. MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
Attention
All the operations described in this paragraph must only
be carried out by professionally qualified personnel.
Attention
Use only original spare parts; contact technical assis-
tance centres for any requirements you may have.
For regular and safe functioning of the machine, it is necessary to
periodically carry out the operations set out in the rest of this para-
graph.
Attention
Before starting the operation it is necessary to:
• stop the machine in accordance with the instructions
set out in the "STOP" paragraph;
• disconnect the electricity supply, removing the plug;
• turn off the water supply tap and unscrew the water in-
let pipe.
CONTROL OF LEVEL AND PUMP OIL CHANGE
The oil level in the pump must be periodically checked using the
appropriate level control rod. The oil must be replaced after the first 50
on hours of functioning and subsequently every 500 hours of opera-
tional activity, using SAE 20/30 antifoam oil; to replace the oil, it is nec-
essary to unscrew the oil discharge cap, allowing the oil to drip into a
container for liquids (see Fig. 7).

cap
The oil collected must not be dispersed in the environ-
ment, but disposed of in compliance with current laws.
Screw on the discharge cap and introduce oil from the upper hole,
up to cover the half of the control window.
WATER FILTER CLEANING
The filter, located next to the burner motor, must be cleaned fre-
quently and re-assembled with care so as to avoid air suction (see Fig. 8).
Filter
BURNER
It is necessary to periodically clean the diesel oil nozzle and check
electrodes status and adjustments.
The diesel oil nozzle must be replaced every 200 hours while the
electrodes must be replaced every 500 hours.
Attention
Erroneous burner adjustment involves an increase in fuel
consumption and generates exhaust gases that are
harmful for the environment.
DIESEL OIL FILTER AND PUMP
The diesel oil pump must be periodically disassembled and
cleaned of any residues. The diesel oil filter must be replaced every 100
hours of operational activity.

COMBUSTION CHAMBER
Every 200 hours of operational activity the combustion chamber
must be completely disassembled and cleaned. After disconnecting the
copper diesel oil pipe and the H.V. cables, disassemble the electrodes
support disk by extracting the burner head. Unscrew the 3 tie-rods out-
side the combustion chamber body, disassemble the external alumini-
um cover and the internal cover, then extract the external and internal
cylinder; the pipe coil and bottom covers remain welded to the base.
Using a metallic brush and an aspirator, remove any soot and combus-
tion residues.
Attention
If, after using the pipe coil for a few hours, the latter is
covered with soot it is necessary to have the burner ad-
justment checked by an assistance centre.
DESCALING
It is essential to carry out periodic descaling washing of the hy-
draulic circuit to eliminate any calcareous deposits that may have for-
med, particularly those that tend to block the heating pipe coil.
To carry out the said operation it is necessary to use the descaling
detergent recommended by the manufacturer (contact Technical Assi-
stance Service for further clarification). Descaling washing consists in:
• closing the water supply faucet and pouring the recommended
dose of descaling liquid into a recipient;
• the water aspiration pipe must also be submerged within the
same recipient, after unscrewing it from the water supply faucet;
• unscrew the H.P. pipe from the washing nozzle automatic handle
and, after applying a fabric filter to the free end, to catch any cal-
careous parts, submerge it in the recipient;
• start-up the pressure cleaner (H.P. pump functioning is suffi-
cient) and allow it to operate for at least 20 minutes;
• at the end of descaling, remove the H.P. pipe from the recipient
and remove the fabric filter, eliminating the parts caught by the
filter; after resetting the connection to the water mains, reopen
the water supply faucet and start up the pressure cleaner, allow-
ing the water jet to exit from the H.P. pipe, without washing, until
the hydraulic circuit has been completely rinsed.
Descaling washing must be carried out every 100 hours of opera-
tional activity if the water used has average total hardness values (25-30
French degrees); every 50-60 hours of operational activity if the water
has greater total hardness.
Attention
Descaling symptoms in the hydraulic system:
• the pressure cleaner continually switches itself on and
off when the machine is operating at maximum speed;
• the gauge indicates a pressure, within the circuit,
greater than 10 bar, even when the high pressure pipe
has been removed.
HIGH PRESSURE NOZZLE REPLACEMENT
The high pressure nozzle, mounted on the lance, is a component
subject to wear; it is therefore necessary to periodically replace it. Wear
can be identified by a drop in the functional pressure of the high pres-
sure cleaner; when carrying out replacement, contact your retailer (see
Fig. 9).
