7.3. Device settings

To make the settings, proceed as follows:
 Press the M O D E / B A N D button. The time starts to flash.
 Now use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the current time.
 Press the M O D E /B A N D button to select the date.
 Now use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the current date.
 Press the M O D E /B A N D button to set the SDA date.
The SDA function allows you to store up to 10 (recurring) dates, such as birthdays.
The device signals the SDA date at the set time on the corresponding date (can be
switched off with any button). If the alarm is not acknowledged, it is repeated every
hour.
 Use the P R E S E T + or P R E S E T - button to select the desired SDA mem-
ory space (1–10).
 Now use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the desired SDA
date.
 If the date is a recurring date, press the N A P /T I M E R button to ignore the
year. Instead of the year, -- will then appear on the display.
 Press the T I M E R button to set the desired time.
 Use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the desired time.
 Press the M O D E / B A N D button to select the LOCAL time zone.
 Now use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the time zone of
your location (for example, LON for London) (see the time zones table further
down).
 Press the M O D E / B A N D button to select the CITY time zone. Here, you can
set a second time zone.
Now use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the desired time zone.
 After completing the device settings, press the T U N I N G -▲ button in standby
mode to display the time of the selected city. CITY appears on the display.
 Press the M O D E / B A N D button to set the time format.
Now use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the desired time
format (12/24 hr).
In the 12-hour format, a 'PM' on the display indicates that the time is between 12
noon and 23:59 hrs (for example, 15:00 hrs = 3:00 PM). Between midnight and 11:59
in the morning, the normal time is displayed.
 Press the M O D E / B A N D button until the display shows SNZ05 to set the
desired snooze interval.
 Now use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the desired interval
(between 5 and 120 minutes) (see also the section 'Alarm interruption').
 Press the M O D E / B A N D button until the display shows ALV to set the radio
alarm volume.
 Now use the ▼-T U N I N G or T U N I N G -▲ button to set the desired maxi-
mum level (Level 1-15) of the radio alarm.
