COMPLETING INSTALLATION
Final Installation
CAUTION:
The 5th Wheel Hitch Head assembly is heavy and can crush and cut. Use caution while
placing and removing the Head assembly. Keep hands and fingers clear while
performing head placement/ removal.
NOTICE:
To prevent the Head assembly from separating from the Base assembly, be sure the
Spring Retaining Clips are properly installed onto the 1/2" Pull Pins before towing. The
Spring Retaining Clips can be easily seen through the sight holes in the top of the Head
assembly. To prevent separation of the Hitch from the Pucks, make sure the Tee Pin
anchor assemblies are properly installed and pinned.
1. Rotate the Anchor Handles to the locked position and install the Lynch Pins to both
sides.
2. While installed in the mounting Pucks with the Anchor Handles in the locked
position, remove the Lynch Pins from the Castle Nut(s) and Tee Pin(s)
3. Tighten Castle Nut(s) to 50 N•m (37 lb-ft).
4. Tighten additional amount to align each Castle Nut slot with Tee Pin hole.
