GUIDELINES FOR MATCHING HITCH, TRUCK AND TRAILER
NOTICE: These measurements are guidelines. If your measurements are close to these
numbers re-check clearances. If the vehicle and/or trailer has any added bed accessories,
additional dimensioning and clearance checks must be made.
NOTICE:
Hitch and trailer must be matched by a certified technician to ensure proper vehicle/hitch
to trailer fit and angle clearance requirements.
NOTICE:
Allow more clearance between the pickup walls and trailer for off-road applications.
NOTE:
Trailer weight should be the lowest of these recorded ratings for safe towing conditions.
NOTE:
Only use a 2" SAE king pin with the 5th Wheel Hitch.
NOTICE:
The king pin weight must not exceed 15% of the load rating; for example, 2,850 lbs
(1292.7 kg) for the 19K 5th Wheel Hitch and 4,875 lbs (2211.2 kg) for the 32.5K 5th
Wheel Hitch. If in doubt, have the king pin weight measured by a qualified facility.
Pin weight must not exceed truck payload. At a minimum, the Hitch adds payload weight
• 19K: 162 lbs (357 kg)
• 32.5K: 177 lbs (390 kg)
