the maximum fill level.
Overfilling may cause

−'½' level – When cooking
foods that expand (such
as dried vegetables, beans,
grains, rice, etc.) DO NOT fill
past the middle fill level.
−'MIN' level – When pressure
cooking, slow cooking or
steaming, make sure the
removable cooking bowl is
filled to at least the minimum
fill level (combined food
and liquid) to ensure proper
operation and to avoid
thermal damage and fire.
−Be aware that certain
foods, such as apple sauce,
cranberries, pearl barley,
oatmeal or other cereals, split
peas, noodles, macaroni,
rhubarb, or spaghetti can
foam, froth, and splutter, and
clog the pressure release
valve. These foods should
not be cooked in a pressure
cooker.
• Before use, always check
pressure release valve and
safety locking pin for clogging
or obstruction and clean if
necessary. Check to make sure
the safety locking pin under
the lid moves freely.
• Always ensure the safety
locking pin is properly aligned
within the opening of the lid
arm and is not restricted in any
