Before using a power tool, read and observe the attached General Safety
Indications!
Additional Safety Indications for Compass Saws:
• For all work with the compass saw, wear safety glasses and a dust
• Keep children and others away from your work area.
• Use only sharp, intact saw blades and always use a saw blade that is appropriate to the
material you are sawing.
• Do not use the compass saw for sawing tubes.
• Always unplug the power supply before inserting saw blades or performing other
maintenance or cleaning on the compass saw.
• Always attach a vacuum to the provided adapter.
•
When working with wood for long periods of time, which creates dust that is hazardous to
the health, the device should be attached to a suitable external exhaust unit.
•
Before sawing wood, make sure that there are no metallic materials (nails, screws, etc.) in
the cutting line. If there are any such materials, they must be removed.
•
Use clamps or other fastening tools to hold the work piece in place. These will keep the work
piece more secure than holding it with your hands.
•
Take precautions that pieces are not flung outwards after they are cut and that the saw
blade is not jammed by the work piece.
•
Before connecting the compass saw to the power supply, make sure that it is turned off.
•
Do not saw work pieces that have a thickness greater than the stated maximum cutting
depth.
